Durban — The Inkatha Freedom Party (IFP), is set to host its national policy conference from 12-13 December.

The conference takes place just one month after the passing of the party’s founder, Prince Mangosuthu Buthelezi.

The party has been on an upwards trajectory and is looking to regain control of the province ahead of the 2024 general elections, EWN reported.

IFP is set to  sharpen its policy offering ahead of the upcoming general elections and discuss topics such as the  state of the economy, governance, justice and security, as well as social services.

“We are positioning the IFP for governance in 2024. IFP is a party that works. We do believe Umntwana wakwaPhindangene laid a solud foundation for the party,” he added on X.

The IFP is holding its two-day national policy conference in eMpangeni in northern KZN. Delegates will deliberate on its policy position on a number of issues of national importance. Ntando Mnyandu speaks to the party’s Mkhuleko Hlengwa.
